Overview

The Husqvarna Z248F Special Edition is a residential zero-turn mower from Husqvarna’s Z200 series, built for homeowners who want speed, power and a quality cut on medium to large lawns. It pairs a Kawasaki V-twin engine with a 48-inch fabricated deck and Hydro-Gear transmissions. It’s also easy to operate, with a simple control panel and a spring-assisted deck lift.

Kawasaki power

The Kawasaki FR Series engine produces 21.5 HP and has full-pressure lubrication with an oil filter, which helps protect the engine and extend its life. It starts with a push-button electric start. The 3.5-gallon fuel tank is mounted on the side for easy refilling.

Smooth zero-turn drive

Hydro-Gear ZT-2200 hydrostatic transmissions give smooth, responsive zero-turn control with forward speeds up to 6.5 mph. The mower pivots in place to get cleanly around trees, beds and other obstacles, reducing the trimming afterwards.

48-inch fabricated deck

The 48-inch deck is fabricated (welded) from steel, which makes it stronger and more durable than a stamped deck. Three blades cut a full 48-inch path. Three anti-scalp wheels help prevent gouging on uneven ground. An electric clutch engages the blades with the flip of a switch, and the spring-assisted deck lift adjusts cutting height from 1.5 to 4 inches.
