The Mantis 4-Cycle Plus Tiller/Cultivator is a compact, lightweight garden tiller. It does the work of much bigger machines without the weight, noise or hassle. At just 24 pounds it’s one of the lightest gas tillers available, easy to carry to the garden, lift over fences and into raised beds, and store on a shelf. It’s an ideal choice for vegetable gardens, flower beds, raised beds and landscaped areas where a full-size front-tine tiller won’t fit.

Honda 4-cycle power, no fuel mixing

The tiller runs on a 25cc Honda 4-cycle engine, one of the most trusted names in small engines. Because it’s a 4-cycle engine, you fill it with regular unleaded gasoline and keep oil in the crankcase: no measuring or mixing oil into the fuel. It starts easily with a pull of the recoil cord, and runs quieter and cleaner than a 2-cycle engine.

Digs deep, cultivates gently

Mantis tines are curved and patented to dig into the soil rather than bounce across it. They break through sod and compacted ground and till up to 10 inches deep. Spinning at up to 240 RPM, they chop soil finely and mix in compost and amendments evenly. Flip the tines around and the tiller becomes a cultivator, working the top 2–3 inches to loosen soil and pull up weeds between rows without disturbing plant roots.

Easy to handle

The 9-inch tilling width fits between rows and around existing plants. Its light weight and balanced design make it easy to steer and control, even for gardeners who find larger tillers tiring. The kickstand keeps the tiller upright and steady when you stop, refuel or clean the tines. The handlebars fold down for compact storage in a garage or shed.
